Frequently asked questions

Before booking it is worthwhile reading our frequently asked questions - if in double contact to our team

When should I hold my event?

Select a day and time that will help maximize both audience attendance and choir participation. Weekends are generally the most convenient for everyone, but we can consider other days.

Weekdays can result in a smaller choir and audience turnout.

How much notice does the choir need?

As much as possible!!!! The choir gets booked well in advance, so we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date. Our availability depends on other scheduled events and the commitments of our music team, who may have additional obligations. Booking early will help ensure everything runs smoothly for your event.

What type of venue can the Choir perform in?

We have performed from village halls to the Albert Hall. However there are considerations.  Usually, we need an electical supply(unless there is a good piano on site).  If there is a chance of rain then it is advisable to also have cover for the choir and audience allike.  Easy access for the choir also key and seats available for choristers for the times between performances.

Other things to consider are: Distance from where most of your audience will come from, toilet facilities; Parking, Comfortable seating and Heating. The choir will also need somewhere to change.

Shall we just sell tickets on the door?

It's a good idea to encourage ticket sales in advance or, at the very least, have tickets reserved for collection at the door. This allows you to estimate attendance and adjust your publicity efforts accordingly. Some organizers offer discounts for early purchases. You can also consider using ticketing platforms like Eventbrite to streamline the process and make it easier for people to secure their tickets online.

How much time before the performance do I need to book the venue to open

The choir typically requires access to the venue around 60 minutes before the start time for staging and rehearsal. We will aim to  completed about 30 minutes prior to the event -ideally without the audience present.

What is the typical introduction for the choir?

We can be flexible but our usual model  - We typically take the stage at the scheduled start time. The concert organizer usually begins by offering a brief welcome to the audience, introducing our Musical Director, and then turning the program over to us.

What refreshments are ideal for the choir?

Bottled water for during the performance - teas of coffee availble is ideal.

Whats the Afterglow?

After the performance - ideally the choir will loook to unwind and if appropriate engage with the audience after the performance - ideally with refreshments - this builds on the overall positive experience

Where can I find your terms and conditions?
